Panel #1 - Way back in episode #3, Dundorious' book was introduced. In fact, the first several episodes were about the Perils of the Bold book.

Panel #5 - Then, in episode #21, Kreex the Kobold Arch-Sorcerer of Doom found the book and took it for his own. In episode #41, Vayla figured out that Kreex had the book. And, finally, in episode #149, Kreex used magic to determine that the book was not a diary/chronicle, but an ancient tome of power.
