Comment on Episode #140.

Panel #2 - The dungeon window exterior set is constructed from moss, coarse ballast (the dirt) and plaster molded rocks from Woodland Scenics. There are also some real rocks in there. The rest of the flora is from Michael's or JoAnn's craft supply.
Maldonado is Handi-taked to a small black die, which is Handi-taked to the rock. I digitally removed the pips so you couldn't tell.
Panel #3 - There's the Xevoz Bone Cutter action figure in all its glory. It's one of my favorite Xevoz figures. The colors are great, and show up well on camera. The wings are slightly translucent, which you can't tell too much here. And you just can't go wrong with those nasty, curved claws.
Panel #4 - Maldonado is running under the mantis, which might be a little hard to make out in the photo.
Panel #5 - I'm using a new way to digitally combine two photos into one, as I did with this photo. First, I take a base photo with just the background and the mantis.
Then, I take another photo with Maldonado suspended on a stick.
Then, I copy a portion from the stickless photo and paste it over the stick. This covers up a bunch of the base photo, including some of Maldonado. So, I go in and carefully erase bits from the pasted rectangle until all of Maldonado is once again visible, while the stick is covered.
Panel #7 - I just think it's funny that while Maldonado is getting mauled by the mantis there is a cute, friendly, and happy trio of yellow flowers basking in the sun, blithely ignoring his cries for help. Foliage is so callous.
