I really like this episode, visually. I spent a lot of time on this episode with lighting. Each panel had some lighting problem or issue that I had to solve. I also spent a good deal of time arranging the figures to get each and every party member into each panel.
Panel #1 - I like the background of this panel, as there is lots of shadow and light. It's also a good view of the whole party.
Panel #2 - This panel has some nice long shadows in it.
Panel #3 - I like this uphill shot. Raik looks very stoic and heroic here. I originally had a completely different shot here of the party traveling, but it was similar to panels #2 and #4. So, I decided to change the angle on this middle one so it was different. Lighting was also a little difficult for this one. All told, I must have taken 30 photos for this panel before picking this one.
Panel #5 - The archway and rocks are made from styrofoam carved with Hot Wire Foam Factory tools and then painted. The stone wall beyond the archway is made from Hirstarts bricks! Last time you saw those was way back in episode #70. Now that the party is back in the corridors, you'll be seeing them again!
Panel #6 - The silhouettes of Raik and Vayla came out pretty good here. I'll have to do more of this.
Panel #7 - Hallelujah: a word of praise and/or thanks to Samar, and many other gods.
Yes, the party is officially back in the stone wall corridors. This narrow corridor actually has a ceiling, which is merely two wall pieces laid atop the vertical wall pieces. It took me a while to figure out the lighting here, as the camera blocked the ideal location for the lights. After a dozen or so experimental shots, I finally got this angle.
Question #1: What is the production goof in this episode? Get 10 Bold Points by being the first to answer correctly in the Action Figure Comics forum.
Ipnotaizig correctly noted that Raik has a knife on his hip in panel #3, but not in panels 2 and 4.
Question #2: Explain the punchline for this episode. Get 10 Bold Points by being the first to answer correctly in the Action Figure Comics forum.
droopy-99 correctly explained the punchline: The heroes have finally escaped the deep caversn of Netherdoom and found the hallways and corridors nearer to the surface. So, Dundorious is very accurate when he says "Hall-elujah!"
